In “reinventing the reel,” DFS has committed to pushing the boundaries of filmmaking since its founding during the 2013-14 academic year. As a collective of new and experienced filmmakers who share a common interest and commitment to create films, we serve as an educational opportunity for aspiring filmmakers who hope to break into the film industry, offering invaluable skills and hands-on production experiences where members learn alongside their UC Davis education.
